How to convert hourly pay to annual income

Multiply the hourly rate by paid hours per week for weekly gross pay. Multiply weekly pay by the number of paid weeks for annual gross pay, then divide by 12 for an average month. The monthly amount is an annual average, so actual payslips can differ.

Assumptions and limits

Use nonnegative rates and hours, and between zero and 52 paid weeks for this annual estimate. This worksheet excludes overtime premiums, bonuses, tax, benefits, and deductions. For unpaid leave, reduce the number of paid weeks. All results are gross amounts before deductions.

Is the monthly result take-home pay?

No. It is average gross monthly income before tax and deductions. The actual amount you receive depends on your payroll arrangements and the rules that apply to you.
