## Molar Gas Constant

**gasConstant** is the molar gas constant R, used in the ideal gas law and thermodynamics.

## Pressure, volume, temperature

In PV = nRT, use absolute temperature in kelvin and compatible SI units. It equals [avogadro](https://calcul.io/constants/avogadro/index.md) times [boltzmann](https://calcul.io/constants/boltzmann/index.md). Do not apply the ideal-gas equation uncritically at extreme pressures or low temperatures.
