gasConstant is the molar gas constant R, used in the ideal gas law and thermodynamics.

Pressure, volume, temperature

In PV = nRT, use absolute temperature in kelvin and compatible SI units. It equals avogadro times boltzmann. Do not apply the ideal-gas equation uncritically at extreme pressures or low temperatures.
